Scope of an alignment engagement
We go through life discovering things out of alignment, attempting to fix them along the way.  With something as complex as a business organization, alignment takes on a new meaning.  Why?  Because it's not something you can readily delineate and fix.  It is likely, a systemic issue involving customers, economy, and government regulation, on the outside, and business strategy, processes, functions and people, on the inside.
