Establishing validity of your training venture
It is too late to establish training validity by attempting to measure results after the fact.  We are proactive in making course design effective, and in making sure  skills are relevant to job success.

TBA builds in a front-end design process,  consisting of the following three steps:

  1. Understand the marketing strategy the client is using to achieve market differentiation and customer satisfaction, essential to establish a competitive advantage.
  2. Determine what job processes will meet all the client expectations at the necessary level of effectiveness.  Benchmarking through competitive comparisons can be helpful.  You can judge performance standards based on the highest performers in the company, or in the industry, or in other comparable industries--whatever is most meaningful.
  3. Determine the necessary and desired job competencies (attitudes, knowledge and skills) needed for each job function and task.

Then, you need to get to work and determine the present state and determine how much of a learning gap or competency gap exists, and how to close it with training, supported with organizational development and other means.

The net benefit of training and development conceived and delivered in this manner is an increase in the capabilities necessary for quantum improvements in effectiveness in a competitive market environment.
